Change Corrupts Chaos

Loli excitedly wandered, tracking the elusive deity throughout all the realms, until she finally caught Baelbus in the realm of nether. The deity was not surprised the twins had sent someone after them for their part in the war and seemed ready to accept their punishment now they could no longer run. But Baelbus’ punishment was not to be like the other rebellious gods. That was why Jinju and Arex sent Loli to hunt the deity of chaos. And now that the hunt was over, the real fun could begin.

Loli had always been friendly with Baelbus because their chaotic nature was much like her own, so she used that friendship as a way to change the chaos deity into what the twin rulers needed. It took a little time, but Loli was able to turn Baelbus against their closest and most trusted companion, Elysha.

The goddess wasn’t sure why the twins needed Baelbus to turn against the goddess of balance, but she didn’t really care. It was fun to twist and change things, and the mind of Baelbus was no different. And just like that, Baelbus filled the hole in Loli’s heart that had been held by Morgo. What’s more, the goddess hadn’t even noticed that space had been empty in the first place.

When she was sure Baelbus was ready for whatever the twins had planned, the pair returned to the heavens, and Loli proudly presented the changed deity to the new rulers. It was then Loli learned what Arex and Jinju had planned for the chaotic deity. While she had been away, the twins had begun torturing Elysha away from the other traitors, and Loli watched in delight as Baelbus spewed all the things she had told them about their best friend, now turned enemy.

That seemed too much for Elysha to bear, and the goddess’ mind broke. And Loli laughed when that happened because now there was no one to stand against her grasp on chaos. The twin rulers were pleased with this outcome as well, and as a reward, they granted Loli a precious gift. They would allow her to create her own race to place upon their new obsession, the world of Rukan.
